Study visit to ES Ljubljana, Slovenia

In mid-May 2023, a group of teachers from the future first classes of the Accredited European School Tyrol travelled to Ljubljana to visit the Accredited European School Ljubljana. The delegation was warmly welcomed and had the opportunity over two days to gain valuable insights into the daily life and educational approach of a European School, while engaging in direct exchange with the local school team.

The first full day of the visit began with a warm welcome at the school, followed by a classroom observation to experience teaching methods in action. Afterwards, the delegation attended an official meeting at the Ministry of Education, offering a broader perspective on the structure and support of European Schools at national level. The group then returned to the school for lunch, followed by a second observation session in the classroom. The day concluded with an open discussion with teachers.

On the second day, the delegation spent the morning in further classroom observations and participated in informal conversations with teaching staff, allowing for a more personal and practical insight into the school's day-to-day dynamics.

The visit offered the Tyrolean teachers not only practical inspiration, but also confidence and motivation as they prepare to welcome their first students at AES Tyrol.
