Study visit to ES Mol, Belgium

As part of the implementation of the first Accredited European School in Austria, a delegation from Innsbruck visited the European School Mol in Belgium during the second week of January 2023. The group included representatives from the Tyrolean Department of Education, the Government of Tyrol, and school leadership teams.

The visit began with a warm welcome and school tours through the Nursery and Primary sections, offering first-hand insights into the everyday routines and learning environments of a European School.

A key part of the programme was a management meeting focusing on administrative structures and school organization. Throughout the day, participants took part in discussions on topics such as project-based learning, educational support systems, language teaching practices (L1 and L2), ICT, European Hours, and curriculum development.

The visit concluded with an exchange on support coordination across all school levels and a final conversation with the school’s management team.

All participants were inspired by the school’s well-established educational model, its inclusive and welcoming culture, and the professionalism of its staff. The experience provided valuable input and strengthened the shared commitment to opening the Accredited European School Tyrol in Innsbruck in the 2023/24 school year.
