Visit of the President of the European Schools to the AES Tyrol
One week before the end of the Irish Presidency of the European Schools, Mr. John Fitzgerald came to Innsbruck. From June 14 to 16, 2023, he visited our AES Tyrol.
During his stay, the President met with Dr. Gappmaier, Director of Education, Dr. Raffler, Head of the Presidential Department, as well as Dr. Mayr, Head of the Pedagogical Department, and Mag. Hausberger, quality manager.
Mr. Fitzgerald was very impressed by the three locations of the AES Tyrol. On June 15, 2023, he gave a lecture on the current and future development of the European Schools as well as on the importance of the Accredited European Schools to the future teachers of the AES Tyrol, the AES management team and parent representatives.
Mr. Fitzgerald, in his capacity as President, was a strong advocate and supporter of our model in all presentations of the AES Tyrol dossiers in Brussels. Following his visit to Innsbruck, he traveled to Rome on the occasion of the hand-over of the Presidency to the Italian delegation for the coming school year.
