Scientific support and evualuation
For Austria and the state of Tyrol as well as the board of education, the implementation of an Accredited European School is new territory not only in terms of content but also structure due to the differences to the Austrian regular school system. In this context, the federal state government has commissioned a team of experts from the Department of Teacher Education and School Research (ILS) at the University of Innsbruck, consisting of Sabrina Bacher, Christian Kraler, and Claudia Schreiner, to provide scientific support for the conception, preparation, and implementation of the AES Tyrol.
The scientific support team is an independent, autonomous partner of those responsible for the project from education policy, administration, and persons directly involved at the school locations. It supports the goal of the sustainable establishment of the AES Tyrol through systematic research of the implementation process and the ongoing provision of research results.
The project goal of the scientific support team is to identify conditions for success and challenges that arise during the planning and implementation of the AES Tyrol. The main research instruments are qualitative and quantitative methods as well as network and process analysis. The findings are sent back to those involved in the project.
