An important step has been taken: On Thursday, 30 June 2022, Education Minister Dr. Martin Polaschek, Provincial Governor Günther Platter and Education Provincial Councillor Dr. Beate Palfrader signed a cooperation agreement. The agreement stipulates that the Accredited European School Tyrol will start with its first classes in autumn 2023.

"With the Accredited European School, Tyrol will be able to provide a continuous, internationally recognised educational model that offers the European Baccalaureate degree" - Governor Günther Platter and Councillor for Education Dr. Beate Palfrader

European Schools guarantee multilingual and multicultural education for children. Teaching at the Accredited European School Tyrol (AES) will be based on the European curricula.

"All pupils of the AES Tyrol will be able to benefit from the future-oriented and professional educational model of the European Schools. As Minister of Education, it is therefore a matter close to my heart to support this project on the part of the Ministry of Education from the very beginning. With around five million ruros annually for teaching staff, administration and material budget, the federal government will bear a significant share of the financial responsibility for the AES." - Federal Minister of Education Dr. Martin Polaschek
